     Happy Easter/Happy Passover, all!

     Not sure where you’re all from, but here in the States, we are de-LIGHTED that the winter from hell is over! Arctic chill temps, snowbanks taller than me, and smug neighbors with their, “We’ve had it good up till now.” Like this is payback time.

     Well, winter is over. At Yellow Mama, we celebrate spring with a new issue, jam-packed with cutting-edge fiction and poetry, illustrated by our family of amazing artists.

     In David Hagerty’s tale, “A Tattered Coat Upon a Stick” signals the perp in a homeless camp attack. A female jogger is “Bait” for a serial killer in Kenneth James Crist’s story. Attie Lee warns a naïve babysitter to “Lock Your Doors and Windows.” Which won’t save you from “The Teeth,” in R. J. Butler’s chiller.

     Other fun stories include Bruce Costello’s “CatChatAI,” where a psychic feline foresees the end of the world. Vegan or carnivore, Robb White’s “Clusterf*ck at the Processing Plant” will gross you out. Jon Park keeps it up with “It’s a Dog-Eat-Dog World.” And the twist in Jeffrey Greene’s “The Names of the Martyrs” will make your jaw drop.

     Check out flash and micro gems by Zvi A. Sesling, Dale Scherfling, Elizabeth Dearborn, and others.

     If you liked my “Gingerbread Boy” (Issue #113) and “Baby” (Issue #114), you’ll love “Cuz”: Two girls grieving for the same guy; the one having his baby, the other, clueless. (Or is she?)

     Finally: This issue’s don’t-miss: G Garnet’s brilliant “The Ghostwriter’s Payroll,” a sequel inspired by my story “Groupie” (Issue #112)! A face-off between Julie and fallen rock god Jimmy. Whose side are you on?

      Our poetry lineup includes fine works by Darrell Petska, Craig Kirchner, John Grey, and others.
